Volunteer Board Treasurer

The Reno Chamber Orchestra is looking for a certified public accountant to join our volunteer board of directors and head our finance committee. Our finance committee  works with our executive director to manage income and expenses but we certainly need the expertise that a CPA provided.

Reno Chamber Orchestra board members serve for three years and can be elected for an additional three years. The treasurer is appointed for a one year term that can be renewed each year that the treasurer remains on the board. The volunteer position requires regular monitoring of income and expenses and usually involves two meetings per month (the Finance Committee meeting, and the Board of Directors meeting). 

For 52 years the Reno Chamber Orchestra has flourished, now boasting 6 regular season concert sets each year, a renowned chamber music festival, and community partnerships that build pathways for access to classical music for all. Board members usually attend two or three  concerts per year but some go to more.
