Why This Role Is a Strong Career Opportunity Serving as Board Treasurer offers valuable experience in: ·         Nonprofit governance and fiduciary oversight ·         Strategic financial leadership ·         Board-level decision making ·         Financial reporting and compliance in the nonprofit sector ·         Collaboration with senior leadership and experienced board members ·         Expanding your professional network This is an excellent opportunity for CPAs looking to build executive and governance credentials while contributing to a mission-driven organization.   Role Responsibilities Working with the CFO and Board of Directors, the Treasurer will: ·         Review budgets, financial statements, and cash flow ·         Present financial information clearly to the Board ·         Ensure financial compliance and strong internal controls ·         Support long-term financial strategy and sustainability ·         Participate in or chair the finance committee Board Member Expectations ·         Attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in person) ·         Serve as an ambassador for the organization ·         Attend one or two events annually when possible ·         Help identify supporters and advocates ·         Share and promote the organization’s mission

Board members serve a three-year term and may be re-elected.

Qualifications ·         CPA credential (active or recently retired preferred) ·         Interest in nonprofit financial management and governance ·         Strong communication and collaboration skills ·         Commitment to ethical stewardship and mission-driven service
