The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Airport Senior Manager – Controller position.  This position manages, coordinates and directs accounting, auditing, revenue, payables and receivables, as well as the purchasing and materials management functions. Responsible for short- and long-term financial planning, including the development and administration of multiple operational, supplemental and capital improvement budgets. Assisting in developing and administering the airline rates and charges model.  Responsible for the administration of grant funds and related compliance.  This position also oversees the integration of various financial reporting related systems.  This position provides division-level management over various fiscal activities of the Department. This includes multiple financial record-keeping and reporting systems as well as related functions. The Controller also plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews, and evaluates the work of professional, technical, and office support staff. They recommend the selection of staff and coordinate training and professional development. Crafting and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards for the Department under the direction of the Managing Director of Finance is also part of the Controller’s job.

A successful candidate will have the following knowledge: •    Skilled in managing a comprehensive and multifaceted financial record keeping and reporting system. •    Organizing and leading a large and diverse team of professionals. •    Usage of ERP systems and related accounting and financial statement preparation programs. •    Financial statement preparation and adherence to applicable standards.
