Senator Townsend’s experience in the private sector includes ten years with DRGM, a well respected marketing and public relations firm; he developed the public information and education campaign for The Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research, covering the largest environmental project ever undertaken in history. He spent six years serving as the General Manager of Lexus of Reno where he brought the dealership to the highest national rankings in customer satisfaction and service. Not only has he been successful in the business world, but simultaneously has maintained an enviable record as a State Senator for over 28 years. As Senator, he has a national reputation in electric utilities, telecommunications, and the cable television industries. He has also played a key role in public and mental health legislation. Randolph’s 20 year leadership as Chair of Commerce and Labor and involvement in business and legislative issues has been beneficial to both the public and private sectors.
