“Nevada Sales & Use Tax Updates”

Mike Bosma, CPA is the Managing Shareholder of the Bosma Group, P.C. and has been in public accounting, specializing in taxation for over 16 years. Mike will be speaking on the recent Nevada Supreme Court decision involving the accruing of use tax on complimentary food. This important court decision could have a large impact on our state. Mike will also discuss how Streamline Sales Tax will apply to Nevada and our profession.

Diane Parkinson
Diane has worked for more than 11 years in the assurance department of the Grant Thornton Reno office. Currently she is a Senior Manager of Audit. Her areas of specialization include financial statement preparation, internal control design and analysis and management consulting. Her experience in public accounting includes supervision of audits and testing and review of internal controls, inventory and fixed assets. Her industry experience includes assisting companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, real estate development, government, gaming and service. Diane received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration graduating with honors with a major in accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno.
