Payment must be made when registering for courses.  Registration fees include all course materials and refreshment breaks. Some courses will have luncheons provided and will be noted on your confirmation form.

Reservations will be held for one week without payment and will automatically be cancelled if payment is not received. Walk-in registrations may be accepted at the door only if space and materials are available. Payment must be made at check-in.

This discount is available until the date of the course and cannot be applied retroactively.

Your registration will be confirmed by mail or email. To expedite the on-site registration process, please bring your confirmation form with you and turn it in to the registration attendant. Review your confirmation carefully. Occasionally, there may be a date or location change. The NSCPA reserves the right to cancel a class for insufficient enrollment. If your class is cancelled, we will notify you at least five (5) days before the scheduled date and refund your course fee. You have the option to transfer your fee into another class at the early registration fee or to receive a refund. Please allow at least 14 days for refund processing.

Course Cancellation
If the minimum number of participants is not obtained two weeks before the presentation date, the course will be cancelled. You will be notified by telephone. Cancellations will also be posted on our website. Your registration fee will be refunded or transferred to another course. Early registration helps avoid course cancellations. All other seminar materials will be distributed on site. Materials are provided for and designed specifically for use at seminar presentations, are the copyrighted property of the seminar producer and are available only for program attendees. The materials or portions thereof are not available for sale.

Late Arrival
Your seat and program materials will be held for 60 minutes after class begins. If you have not notified the NSCPA by 9:30 AM that you are still going to attend, your course materials may be given to another individual who is present and wishes to register for the class. If you arrive later, you may attend the class and will receive your book at the earliest possible date after the program.

Sold-out Classes
Sometimes a class will be "sold-out" with respect to course material, but there will still be space available for attendees in the classroom. You will be notified that there is no course material for the class, but you will be allowed to attend the program and receive your materials shortly after the class. Participants who attend in this manner will receive course materials at the earliest possible date following the program. Should there be a cancellation or a no-show, you will receive material during the class.

What to Wear
Business casual attire is recommended. Meeting room temperatures are difficult to control; please dress in layers to ensure comfort (i.e., bring a sweater or light jacket.)

Cancellations, Transfers, & Substitutions
Should you need to transfer a course, notify us up to three (3) business days before the course date. A $20 fee will be charged for administration. If you cancel your registration within three (3) business days of the course date you will be charged a $50 administration fee. Cancellations received more than one week prior to the program will receive a full refund less a $25 administrative fee. There will be no refunds or transfers honored if notification is received after the date of the course. No refunds will be granted unless advance program materials (when applicable) are returned to the Society office within 48 hours of the program’s conclusion.

You may cancel a registration by phone or email. Please provide your name, course number, course date, and if you would like to have your fees applied to another class or refunded in the same manner in which you submitted payment (i.e., refund check or credit to credit card).

Substitutions among members and nonmembers are welcomed at any time with no administration charge. However, nonmember substitutes must pay the nonmember course fee.

CPE Credit
CPE credit forms are distributed at the completion of each course. If it is necessary to leave a course early, notify the Society or the course instructor. It is permissible to claim less than the total number of credit hours offered by a course.

How Courses are Approved for CPE Credit
The Nevada State Board of Accountancy rules stipulate that a course must increase the professional competency in order for a CPA to receive credit. The CPA must make this determination. The NSCPA is not the regulatory body that sets the rules. The Nevada State Board of Accountancy does not pre-approve any providers or courses for continuing professional education. The responsibility for determining if the course meets the requirements of Continuing Professional Education (Requirements, Programs which qualify, Controls and Reporting and Calculation of Hours of Credit) rests solely upon the provider and the licensee. Board Rules are available at http://www.nvaccountancy.com/education.fx
