Located on the beautiful north shore of Lake Tahoe, IVGID is a fiscally responsible community partner providing superior utility services (water, sewer, conservation, trash) and community oriented recreation programs and facilities (golf, ski, beaches, tennis, parks, recreation center).

Under direction of the Director of Finance, performs high-level administrative and technical accounting, and financial reporting in support of the District’s operations, cash management, capital asset and debt administration. Responsible for the overall integrity of the District’s general ledger, internal and external financial reports, and compliance documents; regularly supports preparations of reports and presentations for the Board of Trustees.

Requires: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Accounting or related field and six years experience with automated financial/accounting systems; including two years public sector experience required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA desired; or equivalent combination education and experience. Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of current public sector accounting, auditing and budgeting methods; principles and practices of leadership, management and supervision.

Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Effectively respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, members of the community and Board of Trustees; including presenting information in an understandable manner. Strong computer skills for Microsoft Office, database and financial accounting applications. Able to develop, mentor and supervise staff, while directing and evaluating work. Effectively work under pressure of deadlines and organize priorities to meet conflicting demands. Use initiative and independent judgement to maintain status of on-going projects. Establish, foster, and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups. Possess a valid Driver’s License.
